Chapter 624.
Since I have learned that the midget wresting bout that was supposed to happen on Super Sunday is canceled. The match was called on account of Shot’s Bar being closed, I have been looking at other options to satisfy my hunger for blood sport.
There are several boxing clubs in New Orleans where I could watch amateurs practice the sweet science of pugilistics, but, I have been dipping deeply into New Orleans history to research the curious career of M. Bonobo.
He was a gibbon, not a bonobo, from what I have gathered thus far. Leather and I are going to visit the city’s archives soon so I will be reading property records to figure out what is going on. I am doing real research, not my usual just hanging about and watching what is always going on.
I am delving deep into the historical record. This new project is not monkey business. This new project has legs.
