Felicity Jones and I are starting a new Substack based on local news. Just the facts. We played reporters today and went to a budget hearing for the LASPCA. It wasn’t very interesting.

I think the first news worth reporting is about what happens at the Decatur Barber Shop. Felicity wrote about it. We are going to share what it is like to go to the barber.

The City Council chambers are located in City Hall, an International Style monstrosity built in the 1950s. Gallier Hall is the traditional seat of New Orleans City government, and its still the ceremonial heart of civic administration and the will of the people.

The current City Hall has a facade that only an architect could love.
