Python Lady brought us two Rubik’s cubes for us to have a face-off. I do not have a mind for these puzzles. She beat me handily. It only took her six minutes and forty-seven seconds. I did not bother to solve it. There is no point in trying when I am already a loser.

You know I do not really believe that.

A hustler has to hustle, even if I hustle in slow motion. I live in New Orleans time. Such are the days of our lives.

I am not good with three-dimensional puzzles (he says as he constantly explores and tries to figure out this wonderful city he calls home), but I am very good with word puzzles. I can solve the Jumble in the Times-Picayune just by looking at it.

My current Wordle streak is 80. Today’s answer is PLACE. There is no need to thank me. I got it in four. Mrs. King and Python Lady got it in six. They were real squeakers.

I love words, if you cannot tell. Such is the destiny of an autodidact. I learned to read like Tarzan. That is why I need help.

If you think I am going to some writers’ workshop every Tuesday for a month, you do not know me. That is not my beat.

Leather has just texted me.

I am sorry that I do not have much news to report above the paywall today. I was going to talk about Muses today but this business with Leather is infinitely more important. Paid subscribers know what I am talking about.

Fasten your seatbelts, folks. It is about to become a wild ride. I just talked with two young ladies from Wisconsin. One of them is a nurse.

Talking to these two cheeseheads is not what you pay for, they are just on my mind since I just, just talked with them.
