Ghost in the VA
The New VA Hospital at the corner of Galvez and Canal Streets is a brand new building. The old building is about a half mile away. It how houses the Traffic Court. I have to go there in March.
I am in the new VA as I write this. I have been for two days. The view from my room:
Everyone at the VA is very helpful. They are helpful at a regular hospital, too, but things work differently at the VA.
Today, I wandered the VA. It consists of several buildings. between Tulane and Avenue and Canal Street, and between South Galvez and South Rocheblave Streets. The campus swallows Tonti Street.
Conti Street is pronounced one way. Tonti Street is pronounced a different way.
I little free time today, so I wandered the ground floor, the main corridor that connects all the buildings.
Behold, the military service flags of the United States of America:
The flags ave are the U.S., the POW/MIA flag, the Army, the Marine Corps, the Navy, the Air Force, the Space Force, the Coast Guard, the Merchant Marine, the State of Louisiana, the Army National Guard, the Air National Guard.
Panio music played as I walked this section of the great hall.
I am across the dinner table that set for the those missing in action and prisoners of war.
Then, I found the piano.
The piano was playing itself. It was the ghost in the VA.
