Go With the Flow.
Two passenger trains a day arrive in New Orleans, Louisiana and two passenger trains a day depart shortly afterward. They come from different places and they go toward different places depending on the day. The train station is always empty, even when it should be busy twice a day.
You can also catch a cross country bus at the train station. The New Orleans train station is a sleepy place.
It is a miracle if a train or a bus pulls into the station on time. We shall see if today’s 3:47PM, is going to be on time, as promised. It is Train 59 from Chicago, “City of New Orleans.” Would you like to bet a dollar? I am saying it is going to be an hour late, minimum. Minimum. We still have almost three hours before it is supposed to arrive.
Go into the lobby at the train station. It is vacant marble. It was probably busy when it was built, during the 1950s. It’s super-modern, especially by train station standards.
You should see the murals around the lobby. I don’t know who painted them but I do know the artist was a schizophrenic. The proof is in the evidence.
Welcome to New Orleans, folks!
