I Have Never Stayed in a VRBO.
I dislike traveling, so, I have never stayed in a VRBO. Nor have I ever used AirBnB. If I visit a city, as you might imagine if you are familiar with my public persona, I like to stay in old hotels, the fustier the better.
The reason I have never stayed in a VRBO is only because the idea has never appealed to me.
I never mind having other people take care of things I would rather not do. This is why I stay in nice hotels. I do it every few years, when I have to leave New Orleans on missions that need not concern you. My trip to Greenville, SC was one of those. I had a room that overlooked the waterfalls downtown. I got a good deal. Professional discount.
I got my philosophy degree in trade school. My teacher was a carpenter. It was either that or Home Economics. That is the reason I cannot manage a household alone. That, and, it takes two to tango.
Today is gloomy in New Orleans but I doubt it is going to rain anymore. I did not go out. I worked at home. Real paperwork. Not this nonsense, real work.
If you are a paid subscriber you will get to see a photo of me out of my public uniform, how I dress when I herd my chickens in the back garden between stints of paperwork. I am sure Mrs. King is around to take a photo.
Mrs. King has very little to do with the chickens, it is I, not she, who is the urban poultry farmer. Mrs. King is the professional dog trainer. We do other things, too. That is what today’s paperwork has about. This is a long term project.
Have you ever stayed in a VRBO? I never have. If you have, can you tell me about it?
Curiosity may have killed the cat but satisfaction brought him back. I do not have the patience to investigate the site. It seems laughably inexpensive to have a one bedroom apartment that sleeps four cost $125.00 a night. Is that $125.00/person?
I am crowdsourcing this. If you have ever stayed at a VRBO, email me at labelleesplandebb@gmail.com. Cut and paste. I will appreciate it. Strictly business. Mrs. King will also be reading your stories so, please, keep them clean. I promise to reply.
I have a need to know.
Now, about that photo of me out of uniform…
