Rosalie Apothecary.
A young lady outside is wearing a Rosalie Apothecary tee shirt. I might want one. I think I will stop by the shop later. I hope they are open on Tuesdays. One never knows. Shops keep their own hours in New Orleans time.
I was at Gulf Coast Bank. Cathy, the manager, asked how my weekend was. I asked what day of the week today is. She told me it is Monday. Even I know today is not Monday, and, I never know what day of the week it is. I know I saw Python Lady yesterday. That is how I know yesterday was Monday. I had been waiting all last week for yesterday.
“Are you sure today is Monday?” I asked Cathy. The new cashier, who is easy on the eyes in an awkward Judy Collins kind of way, she started laughing. She is new. We have not met, yet. We exchanged a little side banter while Cathy was cashing my check.
On my way to the intersection of Toulouse and North Rendon Streets, I passed a house full of mystery that I often admire from the curb. Rosalie Apothecary is not located in this building.
Rosalie Apothecary is now called Rosalie Botanicals. It is likewise located in a building I rarely visit. This was my third, and, probably, my last time.
