St. Thomas, New Orleans.
I was in St. Thomas this morning. I am not talking about the U.S. Virgin Islands. Instead, I am talking about the northernmost Caribbean city, New Orleans, U.S.A. The St. Thomas I am talking about in New Orleans is not island paradise. It is a neighborhood, or, as Kelly once told me when I visited there with her and Mrs. King, I was in the ‘hood.
I was in St. Thomas, New Orleans. I would rather be in New Orleans than in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
I have been to both St. Thomases. Do not accuse me of doubting one over the other. This is a firsthand report.
I went for a TWIC card but I stopped on the way home for a sno-ball. It all happened in St. Thomas, New Orleans. Today was another magical New Orleans day.
Let me correct myself. New Orleans is an island paradise. New Orleans is an island of misfit toys unlike anywhere else for miles and miles and miles and miles. I hope you enjoyed your day as much as I enjoyed mine. If you cannot live in New Orleans, I hope you live like you do, wherever you happen find yourself.
I would like to tell you about all this and more…
