I got home at noon yesterday, the good witching hour Home sweet home. Mrs. King and I had sushi for lunch at Lakeview Pearl, in Lakeview, and we got each other up to speed about what each other had missed. All the news that is fit to print.
I was away from home for eleven days. There are 1610 extra miles on my odometer since the the start of my round trip to beautiful downtown Greenville, South Carolina.
I keep specifying the state because there are more than one Greenville in the United States. According to Wikipedia, there are 34 of them. There is only one New Orleans, the way there is only one New York and one San Francisco. There is no need to specify.
Today, I am at Liuzza’s-by-the-Track. I wanted to stay in my neighborhood my first day. I walked.
I have been walking. It is so nice to be home. Everyone I meet is getting me up to speed.
US Route 11, which I took most of the way today, cutting south in Mississippi, ends at Irish Bayou in Orleans Parish. It was very nice to see the castle on Irish Bayou. I knew I was back in the land where nothing makes sense to the uninitiated.
