The Children's Casino.
Remember that time when Leather Tuscadero, Punk Barbie and I went to Chuck E. Cheese? Chuck E. Cheese, where a kid can be a kid.
I have been spending time with Felicity Jones because she is between jobs. She has free time to fill. She starts her next job on Election Day. She is a field operative but not a political one. We had just gone to Mass and I said I could use me some Leather, so we went to see Leather Tuscadero.
Leather was hanging out with her entourage, dressed like a truck driver and rocking with Taylor Swift on the jukebox. With Taylor Swift in New Orleans this weekend, everybody is a Swiftie. Leather and I have already exchanged friendship bracelets.
Have you ever wondered what the most valuable ship in the world might be? Would it be a ship of gold? That sure would be a very valuable ship. What kind of ship could possibly be more valuable than that? I know! A ship made of platinum would be more valuable than a gold ship. I cannot think of a ship more valuable than a platinum ship. Can you? Maybe a diamond ship?
Au contraire, mon frere. Leather and I both know what the most valuable ship in the world is. We share it. It is friendship.
Leather said, “Oh, good. Mr. King, I’ve been thinking about you. I just learned there is a bus that can take us from New Orleans to this children’s casino in Indiana. Have you ever heard of it? I bet a kid could really be a kid there. I think we should go.”
Great minds think alike.
There is a bus line that makes regularly scheduled stops between Goshen and New Orleans. It is one of those charter buses, like a Greyhound or a Peter Pan bus. It is called the Pee Wee Express. It costs $39.99 round trip. The casino underwrites part of the cost.
The bus stops in New Orleans at 11:00PM every night in front of the the Robért Market on Elysian Fields Avenue and drops the kids off at the casino the next morning, where they hop off well-rested, ready to get a jump on their day. Adults can take the bus, too.
Adults can get into the casino, too. They just have to pay for admission. At the Northern Indiana Children’s Casino, kids twelve and under get in free.
Then we met up with Evangeline, who is a deejay at Republic. Evangeline gave us three tickets for when she’s playing, one is for Mrs. King.
If you were a paid subscriber, you could keep reading. They don’t even see the paywall. They are going to learn the rest of what I know about the skunk ape in City Park.
