There is an eyeglass museum at Tulane Hospital. You cannot spend all day there. It is just a hallway. I spent about seven minutes.
Do not tell me you have never been to Ms. Mae’s. Ms. Mae’s used to be my office. Now it serves as Daphne’s occasional office. While I am not a musician and Daphne is not whatever it is that I am, great minds do occasionally think alike across disciplines.
Ms. Mae’s the Club (do not ask why I am calling it that—it is a long story) is a 24-hour bar on the corner of Magazine Street and Napoleon Avenue. It is surprisingly busy at 8:30AM. There is a big ragamuffin billiard tournament. I’ve got five bucks riding on the dame. I like the cut of her jib.
Have I told you about the eyeglass museum at Tulane Hospital?
